Instagram #LandmarkRun Challenge!

Sharing is caring

Over the past couple of weeks, in the run up to my half marathon, I’ve been changing my routes up a little bit. I’ve left the park and have started using London as my playground. Along the way, I started collecting landmarks, snapping them as I went past. At first it was just for fun, but recently I noticed I always wanted to add more, changing my routes to go past different ones, to add more to my collection. The maximum I’ve done so far is 11 (although I suppose you could debate what counts as a Landmark…?)

I’ve been sharing them on the Fashercise Instagram account, which gave me an idea: I’m challenging you to start collecting landmarks too next time you go for a run. There’s no prizes, just a bit of running fun to stop you from getting bored as you run… (which is a prize in itself, methinks).

The rules:

1. The landmark must be reasonably close (spotting The Shard from Regent’s Park doesn’t count, mmmkay?)

2. Share your route/landmarks/pictures on Instagram with #LandmarkRun

3. A landmark is: “an object or feature of a landscape or town that is easily seen and recognized from a distance, especially one that enables someone to establish their location”

4. Tweet or Instagram @fashercise so we can check out your awesomeness.

5. Have fun

Here’s a couple of my #LandmarkRuns:

p.s. I use RunKeeper to track my runs and PicStitch to create my collages

I feel like you, I think I’m also a Seven in the Enneagram. I can be totally passionate about one thing for a time and then lose interest… I feel I have to find new callings all the time to satisfy my longing for freedom and variety, and to avoid boredom. Therefore I’ve had difficulties with finding “a purpose”. []
