Tried and Tested: Beats by Dre Limited Edition Powerbeats Earphones

Sharing is caring

I don’t know about you but I love to run with music, it focuses you, it helps set your pace and gives you that little bit extra when you’re hitting a wall. So I was very excited when Alex asked me to review the new Beats by Dre PowerBeats earphones.

I have to admit that I always struggle with in-ear headphones, they always pop out! I went for a run with the Powerbeats and I’m happy to report they stayed in place and were actually super comfortable (and have different in-ear attachments to fit all ear shapes!). I first tried them at home and I loved the quality of the sound (both ear pieces actually have two speakers) but I was slightly worried that the noise cancelling quality would make them dangerous to run outside with – anyone who runs on busy roads knows how important it is to be aware of their surrounding! I was pleasantly surprised, I could completely be engrossed in the music while being fully aware of the cars, pedestrians, etc around me. I only noticed afterwards but it is actually one of their design features and they are truly purposefully built for outdoors sports. Also, there is something to be said about the fact that they were designed in partnership with LeBron James, that made me stand a little taller!

But the most important thing of them all? The limited edition neon orange goes perfectly well with my We Own the Night‘ t-shirt!

These Beats by Dre Powerbeats earphones are part of the limited edition neon collection, cost £119.99 and are available from Selfridges.

And just in case you need more LeBron James action (who wouldn’t?) here’s a little video…
