Sweaty Betty launches Get Fit 4 Free Ballet Bootcamp
It’s February and let’s face it: your New Year’s resolutions for a healthy new you might have started slipping a little bit. If so, fear not! Throughout the coming month, Sweaty Betty are launching free Ballet Bootcamp sessions with Sleek Technique in their stores nationwide, as part of their Get Fit 4 Free Campaign.
We went to a preview session of the class at Sweaty Betty HQ a couple of weeks ago and can tell you that this unique workout devised by ballet dancers Victoria Marr and Flik Swan is really fun and works every muscle in your body. The Sleek Technique method is based on elements of classical ballet, mixed with more traditional fitness exercises. We were totally in awe of the girls’ incredibly toned bodies, so it must be working! If you want to try it for yourself, the Get Fit 4 Free Classes will be in Sweaty Betty stores for 4 weeks, so make sure you book your place at your local store to get involved.
If you can’t make it, you can also take the class from the comfort of your own living room, with a video on how to do it for you here. The Sleek Technique girls usually hold their classes online, as their virtual community is working out with them from all around the world. So if you like the look of the Sweaty Betty Ballet Bootcamp class, definitely check out their normal classes as well (all details here)!
We love these free classes – it’s a great opportunity for you to try out something completely different without having to sign up to an expensive gym. If you liked your grand pliés and arabesques as a kid, this one is definitely for you!
