Exclusive: Nike Flyknit Lunar 2 Launches at Berlin Event

We’re a couple of geeky sneakerheads over here at Fashercise, so Nike’s latest launch definitely filled us with joy. The Flyknit Lunar 2 follows on last year’s incredible success of the Flyknit Lunar1+ and combines the same super light Flyknit upper with the soft ride of the Lunarlon (which we run our long distances with). The shoe is super light, super strong and super stylish, made for runners, but would look equally cool under skinny jeans – which is basically the Fashercise motto.

To celebrate the launch of their latest innovation, Nike held a special event in Berlin last night, with an exclusive run through the German capital. Starting with an enormous projection on the Europa Center (where Nike will be opening a new store next week), followed by a laser show and a run along some of the city’s historic buildings. For those who dared, they ended with a run up the Europa Center’s 21 floors, where they were rewarded for their efforts with the official after party.

Special guest and 4 time Olympic gold winner Allyson Felix was one of the participants, and confirmed that the new Flyknit Lunar2 does the trick for her: “For sprinters like me, having a shoe that’s both lightweight and stable is essential. The Nike Flyknit Lunar2 provides an incredibly light and comfortable running experience.”

We can’t wait to get our hands on a pair, but our main issue is… what colour? Seriously. What colour? They all look so good…

Nike Flyknit Lunar2 is in stores and online now, from £135

  • These look pretty awesome. I’ve never run in Nike shoes before. I normally wear Asics. Would definitely be interested in giving these a try though.
