No Bake Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Protein Energy Balls

We all get it, that dreaded afternoon slump when all you crave is a sweet pick-me-up to keep you going. Then you reach for the closest chocolate bar, get a hit of sugar, but then feel even worse afterwards. No more! These no bake protein energy balls are the perfect solution for a quick energising bite on the go – and best of all, you probably already have most of the ingredients in your kitchen cupboard!

The recipe below is merely a starting point, once you’ve made your own energy balls, you’ll realise you can add, switch, change ingredients around to make it your own. Change the peanut butter to almond butter, add chopped dates, use shredded coconut, or different seeds – just experiment and find your favourite flavours!

I promise you that these chocolate chip energy balls taste every bit as good as that sugary snack, hands down!

CHOCOLATE CHIP energy balls

    • 4 tbsp of oats
    • 2 tbsp peanut butter
    • 1 tbsp chocolate chips
    • 3 tbsp milled flaxseed, goji berries, sunflower, pumpkin and sesame seeds (buy here)
    • 3 tbsp whey protein powder (buy here)
    • 1 tbsp honey or agave
    • 1 tsp coconut oil



1// Put all ingredients in a bowl and mix together with a spoon or your hands until you get a sticky mixture. Tip: if all the dry ingredients don’t get absorbed by the wet ones, add a few drops of water until you get the consistency you want.

2// Pop the mixture in the fridge for about 30mins to cool it down, take out of the fridge and roll into bitesize balls.

The balls keep for a few days if kept in the fridge are perfect for a quick snack on the go, an afternoon treat or even as breakfast.
