Meet Ilana Kugel, the powerhouse Creative Director behind our newest label Koral. Originally from Brazil, she moved to L.A. and took her native Brazilian flair and mixed it with the relaxed Californian lifestyle. The result is a beautiful activewear brand which can be perfectly worn in everyday life as well at the gym. We spoke to Ilana about her inspirations, her gym style tips and much more!

My name is Ilana Kugel. I am the owner and creative director at Koral
What inspires you?
People around me, big cities, high-end ready-to-wear, art, music, food
Where do you see Koral in 5 years’ time?
I see Koral expending and spreading all-over the world. I see our stores in all major cities.
What has been your biggest career highlight to date?
Seeing people around the world wearing Koral.
Do you have any advice for people starting their fitness journey?
Love yourself, believe in yourself, be persistent and never be afraid. And remember that everything is possible, just don’t give up!
What’s the one item every woman should have in her wardrobe?
A pair of our lustrous legging. It goes with everything.
What are your style tips for dressing to the gym?
I like layering. Legging, bra and a sneaker is a must. On top of that I love to throw on our mesh bomber jacket. It keeps you warm after the workout but still let your body breathe.
What’s your favourite healthy snack?
Nuts, coconut chips and prunes
What do you indulge in on a cheat day?
A good burger and a glass of wine
What’s your workout of choice?
Running, Boxing and biking
How do you motivate yourself when you don’t feel like working out?
I just try to remember a good post-workout feeling
Do you have any fitness goals left you would love to achieve?
I’d like to participate in an Iron Man competition
What do you do to relax?
I meditate and I read
